About Us

LabourLost is a personal political blog founded by me, Roger Moffatt,  in early 2009 on the day that LabourList was announced on Channel 4 news.

Created largely as an exercise in “how quickly can a new blog be established from scratch” (answer a couple of hours depending on graphics), the site was not actively promoted or utilised with the result that it largely fell into disuse.

That all changed on Friday September 18th with a phone call out of the blue from Parlez~Me~’n~Tory who expressed interest in rejuvenating the domain with a fresh political purpose.

And less than 2 weeks later, here we are with a new design, new platform and new agenda.

We hope you enjoy the blog.

Footnote added by the ChiefWhip:

#labourlost is a campaign that has its seed in Twitter in an attempt to bring to the public the general failings of where the Government has made a promise over the past 12 years and failed to keep it. To that ends the campaign utilises the Twitter hashtag of #labourlost.

The campaign is not partisan, it is not conjecture it is fair and balanced, it is purely to inform and educate the public in the failings of the PLP during the past 12 years so that they have a fair chance of another avenue to explore their conscience prior to the general election.

The campaign will not be slanderous in anyway.

Whilst it is true that Parlez~Me~’n~Tory has  a separate blog it is hoped that you will see that for what it is and that this is an entirely separate project with an entirely separate agenda.

If you wish to Write For Us please see the published guidelines.

It is hoped that you will wish to add to this campaign by utilising the hashtag within Twitter or guest blogging on the site, if you do please contact either of the addresses at the foot of this page.

If you use Twitter and wish to add to the campaign please consider forming your Tweets in the following manner:

#LabourLost (plain text) (shortened url)

Such as:

#LabourLost the public’s trust when they failed to keep their 2005 manifesto promise not to raise taxes http://bit.ly/rm9Zs

Thank you.
